Overview

Where can I use my Esso Business and Fleet Cards?

At approximately 1,850 branded locations across Canada and 10,000 Exxon and Mobil locations in the U.S.

How long does it take to get approved/receive card?

All applications are reviewed within 30 days from receipt of a complete application. Once the account is approved, cards can be embossed and issued within seven days. Customers may request overnight shipment of the cards for a fee.

Rebates and Fees

What is the rebate program for the Esso Business and Fleet Program?

Fuel rebates are determined by volume. Contact a sales representative for more details at 1-888-330-2419.

What administrative fees do customers pay for the Esso Fleet Program?

There are NO administrative fees, setup charges or annual fees with Esso Business and Fleet Cards.

Is there a replacement fee for a lost/stolen card? And, how quickly will a notice be sent out to block purchases?

There is no charge for a replacement card. A lost card is locked out when Esso Fleet Card Services is notified. Esso Fleet Card Services can be reached by calling 1-888-330-2419.

Cards are mailed within three working days. Replacement cards can be over-nighted for a nominal fee. Normal replacement is up to seven days depending on mail.

Reporting/ Prompting

What information does the driver have to enter at the time of sale on the Esso Business Program?

The driver must enter his or her Driver ID number. The driver enters the information at the time of the sale at the pump or on the PIN pad at the counter. If a driver can't remember their Driver ID number, they should contact their fleet administrator.

The driver must enter his or her Driver ID number and Odometer reading. The driver enters the information at the time of the sale at the pump or on the PIN pad at the counter. If a driver can't remember their Driver ID number, they should contact their fleet administrator.

Can I restrict fuel purchases to diesel?

Fuel restrictions by grade and/or type, including diesel, are NOT available. You can, however, restrict purchases to fuel only and fuel/oil only.

Can product purchases be restricted?

Yes. You can choose from three pre-set options: unrestricted, fuel only and fuel and oil only.

Can you limit card purchases to a daily dollar amount?

Yes. You can create Control Profiles to limit card purchases to a daily dollar amount through Esso Fleet Online. You can also limit the number of transactions allowed per day, dollars per transaction; even limit purchases to specific times of the day and days of the week. You can create as many Control Profiles as you need, and assign each card on your account to the Control Profile that's most appropriate.

Speedpass™

What are the benefits of Speedpass for Fleet card and Business card customers?

Speedpass is fast, easy and convenient. It is free for customers to get and to use, and drivers spend less time filling up and more time on the road. Maintains same control features that you would have with the Esso Business and Fleet Cards.

Where can I use Speedpass?

You can use Speedpass at the pump or in the convenience store at hundreds of participating Esso stations across Canada. To see all the Speedpass locations in your area, go to www.essostations.com.

Can Esso Fleet card customers and Esso Business card customers enroll for Speedpass in the same way as regular customers do?

No. Fleet customers and Business customers have a separate enrollment form. To enroll for Speedpass, Fleet and Business card customers must complete the form and mail or fax it to Speedpass Customer Service. They cannot enroll by calling Speedpass Customer Service or online at Speedpass.ca. They can however, log on to www.speedpass.ca and download the Fleet Speedpass enrollment form.

Why must they send in a form?

A completed form must be received with an authorized signature on the form. This is a requirement for the Speedpass. Since the Esso Fleet and Business credit card account belongs to the registered company, fleet drivers are not allowed to enroll in Speedpass; only an authorized person within the company can enroll for Speedpass on behalf of the drivers (e.g., the fleet manager or owner).

What do I do if my Speedpass is lost or stolen?

Notify Imperial Oil immediately online at www.speedpass.ca, or call us at 1-877-230-8344. We will deactivate your Speedpass, and issue you a new one. Once we have received your call, you will not be liable for any charges incurred. And because no personal or credit card information is stored in your Speedpass key tag, your Esso Fleet or Business Card is still safe to use.

How many Speedpass key tags can I order?

You can get as many Speedpass key tags as you have employees with Esso Fleet or Business Cards. Just like with your Esso Fleet or Business Cards, purchases made by the same driver or vehicle will be subtotaled together on your billing statement.

Will I receive a receipt when I use Speedpass?

Yes. You will receive a receipt each time you use Speedpass. Transactions that exceed $100 will require a signature from the Speedpass user. Also, just like with your Esso Fleet or Business Cards, you will receive a detailed report of all your employees' transactions.

Is Speedpass automatically linked to a loyalty program for Fleet and Business customers?

No. For business reasons, Speedpass cannot be linked to an Esso Extra or Aeroplan account for these customers. They must continue to swipe their Esso Extra or Aeroplan Card separately, after pointing their key tag.

What type of products can the Fleet card and Business card customers buy with Speedpass?

Fleet card and Business card customers can pay for anything at Esso stations that they can buy with their Fleet card or Business card. Some Fleet and Business customers restrict the type of items drivers can buy with their cards; all of these restrictions will still apply with Speedpass.

Do Esso Fleet and Esso Business customers receive the bonus Esso Extra points or bonus Aeroplan Miles the first time they use Speedpass?

No, they do not.

Esso Online Account Management

How long does the enrollment process take?

The enrollment process will take a maximum of 5 days.

Will I still receive invoices by mail?

Once enrolled in Esso Fleet Online, your company will stop receiving invoices by mail. Instead, you will receive an email notification when an invoice is ready for review and payment. Invoices are stored in PDF format online for up to the previous 13 months, so they are available for viewing, printing or saving at any time.

Is there a restriction to the number of users I can register to use Esso Fleet Online?

No, there is no restriction to the number of users.

Are there different levels of access or authority levels?

Yes, your company must assign a 'web contact' – who will have authority to grant access to users with the following levels: 'view', 'endorse' and 'approve'.

What type of file is created when using the download function in Esso Fleet Online?

All download requests create an MS Excel file.

Esso Extra Loyalty Program

How Do I enroll for the Esso Extra card?

If you don't have an Esso Extra card, click here. You can also sign up for your Esso Extra card at any participating Esso station, where your new card will be activated immediately. Or, you can call us at 1-800-567-3776. Remember, membership is FREE.

How many Esso Extra cards can I order?

You can get as many Esso Extra cards as you have employees with Esso Fleet or Business Cards. You can either accumulate all the points on one account or set the cards to earn points on the driver level. If you want to link the Esso Extra member cards, please call 1-800-567-ESSO (3776)

How do I redeem my Esso Extra points at Esso stations?

Simply check your Esso receipt to see how many available Esso Extra points you have. Then choose a reward that is available at the station, and ask the Esso attendant to redeem it. It's that easy! Just be sure to have your Esso Extra card handy.

How do I redeem my Esso Extra points online?

Go to essoextra.com. If you haven't already done so, create an online account. Once this is in place you can then log on to essoextra.com and go to the "Redeem Rewards" section on the navigation bar and follow the instructions.

How do I redeem my Esso Extra points by phone?

To Redeem by phone, just call 1-800-567-3776 and have your Esso Extra card or Speedpass handy.
